Safari Itinerary:

Day 1- Amsterdam / Nairobi, Kenya
 

Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by Safari Legacy and transferred to the Ole Sereni Hotel. Overnight Ole Sereni Hotel, facing Nairobi National Park.(D) https://www.ole-sereni.com/

Day 2- Nairobi / Amboseli National Park
 

To we begin our safari with a drive to Amboseli National Park with a game drive on the way to Tortillis Tented Camp (our accommodation for the next two nights), located just outside Amboseli National Park. With snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the distance, Amboseli is considered one of the most photogenic of Kenya’s parks and reserves. Abundant savannah animals, including wildebeest, common zebra, African buffalo, impala, and Grants gazelle, provide perfect focal points sensational photography and excellent wildlife viewing.

Day 3 – Amboseli National Park
 

We rise early this morning with an awe-inspiring view of magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro. With more than 420 species recorded, Amboseli is known for its bird population. Both greater and lesser flamingos frequent the shallow margins of Amboseli’s lakes, as do birds rarely seen elsewhere in East Africa, such as the Madagascar Scuacco Heron and long-toed lapwing. Day 4 – Amboseli National Park – Samburu Game Reserve
 

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge. Transfer to Amboseli Airstrip for your 45 minute flight to Nairobi.

Upon arrival at Wilson airport connect your flight to Samburu. Meet and greet at Kalama Airstrip in


 

Sambururu. Samburu Game Reserve is located in Kenya’s Northern Frontier District. Situated alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River, there is plenty to attract wildlife from the surrounding savannah plains. The reserve is rich in wildlife with an abundance of rare northern species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the Beisa oryx (also referred to as Samburu special five). The reserve is also home to elephants and large predators such as the lion, leopard and cheetah. Wild dog sightings are also a common attraction to this unique protected area. Day 5 – Samburu Game Reserve
 

Full day in Samburu Game Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Samburu is inhabited by a wide variety of animals, more so the rare species such as the long- necked gerenuk, gravy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa Oryx. Other animals include leopard, lion, elephant, crocodile and hippo which can be seen swimming in the Ewaso Nyiro River. Overnight Elephant Bedroom Camp. (BLD)
 

Day 6 – Samburu Game Reserve – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
 

This morning we depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a 90,000 acre private wildlife conservancy.  Ol Pejeta is situated on the equator, in Kenya’s Laikipia District, between the foothills of the Aberdares and the magnificent snow-capped Mount Kenya. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of animals, including the “Big Five” (endangered black rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion), Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest, cheetah and chimpanzee. Day 7 – Ol Pejeta Conservancy & Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Sanctuary
 

Today enjoy a full day exploring the Ol Pejeta Conservancy with morning and afternoon game drives and a visit to the Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Overnight Sweetwaters Tented Camp (BLD)
 

Day 8 – July 8 – Lake Elementaita / Maasai Mara Game Reserve
 

After breakfast at the Camp, transfer to Nanyuki Airstrip for your flight to Maasai Mara 1030 hrs/1130 hrs. Meet and greet at Ol Kiombo airstrip by our guides. En-route game drive to Entim Mara Camp, arrival in time for lunch.  After short siesta, afternoon game drive in Masai Mara National Game reserve which is northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem, one of the world’s most rewarding wildlife observation sties, virtually throbs with life. Day 9 & 10– Maasai Mara Game Reserve
 

Enjoy two full days of wildlife viewing, in the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most revered game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. You can opt to go out with picnic lunch boxes to spend most of the day in the park coming back to the camp late afternoon, or you will have an early morning pre-breakfast game drive, and another one late afternoon. There will also be an optional visit to a local Maasai village. All meals and overnight at Overnight at Entim Luxury Tented Camp (BLD)

An optional hot air balloon safari over the Maasai Mara is available on request and at an additional cost. This excursion will be in lieu of your morning game drive. Advance Reservation is suggested.


 

Day 11 – Maasai Mara Game Reserve / Nairobi / Evening Departure
 

After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi. Enjoy a farewell lunch at the the hotel. After lunch, enjoyday rooms at the Ole Sereni Hotel until your late afternoon transfer to the airport for your departing flights.  (BL)
